His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held last evening a telephone conversation with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.
During the phone call,  they reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of developing them in various fields, and discussed the latest developments in the region, especially regarding the Gulf crisis.
The Bulgarian president affirmed his country’s stance in support of mediation efforts by the sisterly State of Kuwait to resolve the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means.
For his part, the Emir expressed his thanks to Bulgaria’s position calling for maintaining the stability of the region.

FM holds talks with German counterpart

HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani held a telephone conversation yesterday with German Foreign Minister Ziegmar Gabriel. During the phone call, they discussed bilateral relations and means of boosting and developing them as well as the developments of the Gulf crisis, and a number of issues of mutual interest.

His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday sent cables of congratulations to Benin President Patrice Talon on the occasion of his country’s Independence Day.

Attack condemned
Qatar has strongly condemned and denounced the attack on the Iraqi embassy in the Afghan capital Kabul, which left two of the embassy staff dead. In a statement issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of its source and whatever its motives and reasons. The statement offered Qatar’s condolences to the government of Afghanistan and to the families of the victims.
