The Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published the 35th edition of the Diplomatic Magazine, which devoted a special file to the Gulf crisis titled “Minister of Foreign Affairs: We Are Ready for Dialogue”. 
The magazine features the shuttle tours of HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani as well as other efforts made by the Qatari Foreign Ministry in presenting the true picture of the Gulf crisis, revealing the false allegations by the siege countries.
The file also carries summaries of important interviews given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to international media and TV channels besides observations by the guests of the State on this crisis, and their  call for dialogue and adherence to the right of sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of nations.
The 35th edition of the Diplomatic Magazine also includes a special coverage of the 17th Doha Forum, which was held in May and was inaugurated by His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, in the presence of a number of leaders, heads of government, ministers and heads of participating delegations.
The issue also covers the fifth annual meeting of heads of diplomatic, consular and representative missions of  Qatar abroad.
In the chapter “Our Ambassadors”, the issue includes an interview with Qatar’s ambassador to China Sultan bin Salmeen al-Mansouri, in which he speaks about relations between the two countries and the various areas of co-operation.
All topics in the magazine are translated into English, especially as they are distributed to the embassies of the Qatar abroad.
The magazine is are also published on their websites and distributed to embassies of foreign countries accredited to Doha.

New book discusses current topics
The Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published a book titled Readings in Diplomacy, which offers a diplomatic picture of the current practices and similar examples of them from history. 
The medium-sized book contains a number of definitions and analyses of different political issues and topics presented by diplomats and politicians. 
In its first chapter, the book reviews popular, preventive virtual and economic diplomacy forms and their impact on maintaining international peace and security. Contents of these different forms and their applications and international examples are reviewed as well. 
The second chapter contains essays on jurisdictional immunities of political delegates, the relationship between the diplomatic and consulate careers, the stages of building up political ties, reasons for cutting off political ties and how the latter affect the diplomatic delegate as they become persona non grata.  The essays also shed light on means to change regular citizens into electronic diplomats via their phones, laptops, roles in shaping their country’s soft power.
In the third chapter the book discusses Qatari diplomacy and the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening cultural relationship between countries, taking the Qatari-Turkish relations as an example. 
The third chapter tackles general diplomacy, providing glimpses of the Qatari international health diplomacy and the Qatari model of cultural and economic diplomacy. The chapter also touches on Qatar’s experience in settling disputes through negotiations.
