The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that it will close part of Ahmad Bin Jassim Road (behind LuLu – Al Khor) at its intersection with Al Qirma Street for a period of 90 days from Thursday.
Traffic through the area will be diverted as shown on the attached map. The diversion is required to enable work on laying the ‘sewer rising mains’ as part of the design, build, operate and maintenance of Al Thakhira sewage treatment works, Transfer Pumping Station and associated pipelines.
The authority has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow diversion road signs to ensure their safety. Ashghal has also reminded road users to exercise special care while driving to their campsite, by further reducing speed as necessary.
