Qatar’s Sarah Masoud claimed silver in women’s Shot Put (F33) event at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London.
Masoud finished second with an effort of 5.39 metres behind Algeria’s Asmahan Boudjadar while Anthi Liagkou of Greece settled in the third place.
The Qatari delegation, participating in the Para-athletics Championships in London, is led by Dr Hassan al-Ansari, secretary general of the Qatar Paralympic Committee. Qatar players in the championships are Abdulrahman Abdulqader, Nasser al-Sahoti, Mohamed al-Kubaisi, Khaled al-Hajri, Mohamed Khallas and Sarah Masoud.
