QSL side Al Khor has announced the signing of Al Duhail defender Talal al-Qahtani as the Knights bid to strengthen their local contingent ahead of the new QSL season.
Al-Qahtani signed a one-season deal in the presence of Al Khor club officials. The 29-year-old defender is vastly experienced in the QSL and will be seen as a key addition for the side. The signing of the former Al Rayyan player means that Al Khor have now signed a total of seven players in the summer transfer window.
These include professional players Luciano Castán and Soroosh Rafiei whilst four local players have been signed in the form of former Umm Salal trio players Omar Ibrahim, Hilal Mohammed and Salem Khalifah and Al Shahania youngster Mohammed Sayyar.
In other news, Al Khor has continued training as they prepare for the upcoming QSL campaign. The squad, which included new signing al-Qahtani trained under the watchful eye of Khor boss Laurent Banide. The Knights are set to train in Qatar till the 4th of August before heading to their preseason training camp in Holland.

Mendes joins Al Duhail
QSL side Al Duhail have secured the signature of defender Lucas Mendes on a two-year deal. The Brazilian player was signed from El Jaish and has joined the team in their preseason training camp.
The 27-year-old centre-back will be a welcome addition to the Al Duhail back four as he is set to replace Chico Flores, whose contract ended with the team at the end of the season. Mendes was at the heart of the El Jaish defence and helped them to a fourth place finish last season in the QSL.
In other news, Al Duhail have also signed goalkeeper Khalifa Ababacar from El Jaish. The keeper is now expected to join his new team-mates at their preseason training camp in Austria as they prepare for the new season.

Qatar SC announce Tayebi capture
Newly promoted QSL side Qatar SC have signed Iranian defender Mohammed Tayebi on a season long deal. The club confirmed in a press conference on Saturday evening the capture of the 30-year-old from Persian Gulf Pro League side Esteghlal Khuzestan. The experienced centre-back is the club’s first professional player signed in this summer’s transfer window.
The Kings have been busy in the transfer market as they look to make a splash on their return to the QSL. They have already signed a number of local players including Fahad Khalfan and former Al Arabi defender Ali Jassimi.
Qatar SC is set to travel to Slovenia for their preseason camp in August, under the guidance of new coach Gabriel Calderón.

Iraqi Natiq set for Al Arabi move
QSL side Al Arabi are set to sign Iraqi player Saad Natiq, as the Dream Team look to strengthen their side ahead of the start of the QSL season.
Al Arabi officials greeted Natiq at the airport ahead of his medical with a view of signing on with the club. The Iraqi defender was previously linked with Al Markhiya. The 22-year-old defender can play in defence and midfield, and has already represented his national team on a number of occasions. 
In other news, two Arabi first team players have renewed their contracts while two young prospects have also been added to the team. The contracts of Ahmed Khalfan and Ahmed al-Nhaowi have been renewed for an additional season. Whilst two youth team players Mohamed Mustafa and Zaid Saad have signed on with the first team for the new season.

Al Rayyan confirm al-Khater loan
QSL side Al Rayyan have successfully completed a season long loan deal for Al Duhail goalkeeper Saud al-Khater. The Qatari player recently joined Al Duhail from El Jaish and was subsequently loaned out to Al Rayyan.
Al-Khater signed a five-year contract with Al Duhail before agreeing to a loan move to Al Rayyan. The young goalkeeper will be a solid addition to the Al Rayyan goal keeping ranks as the former QSL champions look to replace Sauod al-Hajiri, who moved to Al Sadd.
So far this summer Michael Laudrup’s side have signed Mohammed Juma, Ahmed Maqsoud and Moroccan attacker Abderrazak Hamdallah.
The 26-year-old stopper will now join the team at their training camp in Holland as the Lions prepare for the new season.
