Milaha has announced the launch of the Oman Qatar Express Service (OQX), a new shipping service that runs in two loops with multiple weekly sailings. The service covers Hamad and Mesaieed ports in Qatar and Salalah and Sohar ports in Oman, according to infographic available in the Milaha Twitter account. Loop 1 will have two weekly sailings between Qatar and Salalah/Sohar ports, while Loop 2 will feature three weekly sailings between Qatar and Sohar Port. Six vessels will be used for the service, which will have a host of advantages, according to Milaha. These are providing strategic transshipment hubs, competitive transit time for local cargo, high frequency of Sohar-Hamad sailings, and frequent equipment positioning opportunities to Mesaieed.
