Humid conditions are expected to continue in the country today, especially at night, according to the Qatar Met department.
Sweltering conditions have been reported from different parts of the country over the past few days, and the trend is likely to continue.
Today’s forecast says it will be hazy to misty in some places in the early hours of the day, followed by hot daytime conditions with some clouds. High humidity is likely at night.
Hazy to misty conditions are expected in offshore areas, too, along with some clouds, the report states.
In a tweet yesterday, the Met department said, “Settled and sunny weather continues over Qatar with mostly easterly wind causing humidity to rise, especially at night.”
Meanwhile, a maximum temperature of 44C is expected in Doha and Abu Samra today, followed by 43C in Mesaieed, Wakrah and Al Khor.
Yesterday, the maximum was 46C in Sheehaniya, Al Rayyan, Karana, Batna and Ghuwairiyah, and 45C in the Qatar University area, Turayna and Jumayliyah, while in Doha it was 44C.
