QSL new boys Qatar SC unveiled two further local signings as the Kings look to strengthen their side ahead of the 2017/2018 campaign.
The club called a press conference yesterday to formally announce the signing of former Al Arabi defender Ali Jassimi and former Al Ahli keeper Satea Abdelnasser.
Speaking on joining the Kings Ali Jassimi, who penned a three year deal admitted he was looking forward to competing with the side. “Qatar Sports Club is well known in Qatar as the side is used to high quality, and I think we will do well in the League and get back to our rightful place competing in the QSL.”
Whilst keeper Satea Abdelnasser, who signed a one-year deal with the side stated that he will do all he can on making an impact at the Kings. “This decision to start in goal will not depend just on me, it will be down to the coach and I will do my best to grab the number one shirt for my new side.”
The signing of Jassimi and Abdelnasser caps off a busy couple of weeks of signings for the Kings. Last week the club signed no fewer than four local players as they prepare for the new QSL campaign under the guidance of new Argentine head coach Gabriel Calderón.

Saad and Al Maliki head to Al Arabi
Al Arabi’s busy summer transfer window has continued with the club announcing the addition of two further players to the squad. The club took to social media to confirm that Mahmoud Saad and youth prospect Khalifa al-Maliki had signed deals with the Dream Team.

They are joined with five local players in the form of Abdulrahman Anad, Hesham Kamal, Jasser Yahya, goalkeeper Muhannad Naim and Al Shahania youngster Jassem al-Jaber.
