Emir, Austria chancellor discuss Gulf crisis
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held yesterday evening  a telephone conversation with the Federal Chancellor of Austria, Christian Kern. During the phone call, they discussed the latest developments related to the Gulf crisis, and ways to resolve it through dialogue and diplomatic means. Bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them in various fields were also discussed.

Egypt ends visa-free entry for Qataris
Egypt will end visa-free entry for Qatari nationals as of Thursday, July 20, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said yesterday. An official source at the Consular Affairs Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that visas can be obtained from Egyptian embassies abroad or from the Department of Egyptian Interests at the Greek embassy in Doha.

Libya’s new political roadmap welcomed
Qatar welcomed the announcement by Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya’s Government of National Accord, Fayez al-Sarraj, to move ahead with a new political roadmap that aims to help Libya out of its crisis. In a statement to Qatar News Agency, the Foreign Ministry said the roadmap is a positive step towards achieving the ambitions of the Libyan people and maintaining the safety and stability in the country. It stressed the importance of holding on to national dialogue as an approach to settle political disputes, calling on all parties to exploit this opportunity and engage seriously and effectively to end the division. The ministry reiterated Qatar’s full support for the Libyan people to come out of this crisis.
