Emir condoles with Saudi king, crown prince
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent yesterday cables of condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud on the death of Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, praying Allah Almighty to grant his soul rest in Paradise and grant his family patience and solace.

Emir sends messages to UK PM, Swazi king
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has sent a written message to UK Prime Minister Theresa May, pertaining to bilateral relations as well as the developments in the region. Qatar’s ambassador to the UK Yousef bin Ali al-Khater delivered the message during a meeting with the UK Prime Minister’s Secretary Col. John Clark yesterday. His Highness the Emir also sent a written message to King Mswati III of Swaziland, pertaining to bilateral relations and means to develop them. Qatar’s ambassador to Swaziland Yousef bin Mohamed al-Mahmoud delivered the message during a meeting with King Mswati III yesterday.

Qatar condemns Qatif shooting, Giza attack
Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the shooting incident that targeted border guard patrol in Qatif, leaving one police officer dead and another injured. In a statement issued yesterday, the Foreign Ministry affirmed Qatar’s stance in rejection of violence and terrorism whatever the motives and causes were. It expressed Qatar’s condolences to the family of the victim as well as the people of Saudi Arabia, wishing speedy recovery for the injured. Qatar also expressed its strong condemnation of the attack that targeted a security point in Giza Governorate in Egypt and resulted in the death of a number of people. It also condemned the attack on tourists in Hurghada.

British Navy vessel arrives in Doha
The British Navy vessel HMS Middleton has arrived in Doha to participate in a joint naval exercise between Qatari Emiri Navy and the British Royal Navy in the Qatari territorial waters, the Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence announced.
