The pavilion of Qatar at Expo Astana 2017 in Kazakhstan celebrated Qatar’s National Day, where a number of different events were organised in addition to a range of cultural and heritage activities.
HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi attended the function along with Kazakhstan’s Vice-Minister of National Economy, Bakenov Ernar Bakytzhanovich, Qatar’s ambassador to Kazakhstan Ahmed bin Ali al-Tamimi, who is also the commissioner-general of the Qatari pavilion, Astana Expo 2017 President Akhmetzhan Yessimov; staff of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce’s committee on preparation for participation in the exhibition, official delegations from participant countries and media personalities.
HE al-Muraikhi said that marking the National Day at Qatar’s pavilion in Astana Expo 2017 reflects the pioneering achievements of Qatar under the wise leadership of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
In a speech on this occasion, HE al-Muraikhi said both countries seek to promote, strengthen and expand these relations.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs added that Qatar has provided an attractive investment environment and launched projects that reflect the values of partnership between the public.
On the sidelines of the expo, HE al-Muraikhi held separate meetings yesterday with Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov, and the country’s Minister of National Economy Suleimenov Timur Muratovich.
The meetings dealt with bilateral relations and means to promote them in addition to topics of mutual interest.
