Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation yesterday received thousands of visitors from different nationalities at its esplanade, who turned up enjoy the theatrical performances and other shows lined up to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara, said the theatrical performances were based on Arabic heritage, with stories from the celebrated book One Thousand and One Nights.  He stressed that Katara is keen to provide its visitors with convenient access to the attractions and facilities on offer, including persons with disability. In addition, Katara is presenting a number of shows performed by international professionals. The first show starts at 7pm, the second at 8.30pm and the third at 9.45pm, while the distribution of Eid gifts for children takes place at 7.30pm and 9pm at the Katara Esplanade every day. Karata’s visitors can also enjoy different water sports at its beach from 3.30pm until 6.30pm daily.
