The Emergency Department at Hamad General Hospital received 430 cases from 6am until 6pm yesterday. These included six cases of injury resulting from different road accidents, while most of the other cases pertained to stomach pain and complications related to eating, according to a statement. In addition, there were a limited number of trauma injuries. The majority of patients were given treatment instantly and they left the hospital the same day, the statement noted. Similarly, the Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service received 130 calls for help from Saturday midnight until 6pm yesterday. All such cases pertained to minor problems and were handled accordingly, with a total of 60 ambulances being on service.
