Hamad International Airport (HIA) has advised departing passengers travelling during the Eid period “to be sure to check in online, arrive three hours prior to their flight and use the E-gates to avoid queues” to continue enjoying comfortable and seamless travel through HIA.
In a notification on its website, the HIA also reminded travellers that check-in would close 60 minutes prior to departure.
To assist the general public who will be dropping off or collecting passengers, HIA says it has extended complimentary parking in the short-term car park for the first one hour, until June 28, and will cost QR5 per hour thereafter.
Passengers also have the option of parking their vehicles in the airport’s long-term car park, which provides customers with a regular shuttle service to the main terminal.
The advisory also points out that only passengers holding valid tickets and passports will be allowed access into the departures check-in hall until June 28.
