The Qatar Met department has said the maximum temperature is expected to come down to the early 40C levels over the coming days even as the windy spell is likely to continue during the weekend.
The forecast came as the country experienced another day of strong winds, dusty conditions and poor visibility yesterday.
In a report yesterday, the Met department said the northwesterly winds will continue to be strong in most areas during the weekend while the wave height will range from 8-12ft offshore.
The wind speed will gradually start decreasing from tomorrow and marine warnings will be cancelled by the beginning of Monday.
As the wind activity continues, the report states, the temperature will decrease as compared to the past few days. It will reach the early 40C levels in Doha during the day, which is normal for this time of the year.
Today, meanwhile, strong winds are again expected in most areas along with poor visibility due to dust.
Similar conditions and high seas are likely offshore, too.
A maximum temperature of 43C is expected in Doha, Mesaieed, Wakrah and Al Khor today, while yesterday a maximum of 43C was recorded in Doha (airport area), Mesaieed and Al Rayyan.
