Mercury is forecast to touch 45C in Qatar on Saturday, with Al Khor expected to be the hottest location, the Met department said.
Doha, Mesaieed and Wakrah are to experience a high of 43C, followed by 41C at Dukhan and Abu Samra and 38C in Ruwais.
Friday, the maximum temperature of 44C was recorded at Batna and Karanah, followed by 43C at Al Khor and 42C in Doha.
The minimum temperature for Saturday is forecast to be 27C (Mesaieed, Wakrah, Dukhan), followed by 29C (Al Khor), 30C (Abu Samra) and 34C (Doha).
Friday, the minimum temperature of 26C was recorded at Mesaieed and Dukhan.
The Met department had tweeted on Thursday that the maximum temperature may reach the mid-40C levels in the central areas.
Strong winds, dust and low visibility are expected across Qatar from Sunday night until Tuesday, according to the weather office.
