Ooredoo has announced that select smartphones purchased from Ooredoo Shops or via Ooredoo’s eShop, will now receive free screen insurance on their devices.
The offer, in partnership with Seib Insurance, covers select iPhone or Samsung devices. The insurance is valid for 12 months or until the expiry date of the cover.
The insurance will cover two screen replacements without affecting the device warranty. Customers will only need to pay a QR50 service fee for the replacement.
“The screen damage insurance on select devices is a first in Qatar,” said Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director, community and public relations, Ooredoo.
“We are pleased to be joining hands with Ooredoo, for introducing a new service tailored to meet the specific and ever-changing risk exposures,” added Elias Chedid, Seib’s chief operating officer and deputy CEO.
To claim their insurance, customers need to visit their nearest Qatar Mobile Repair Centre (locations mentioned on the insurance certificate) to replace their screen or call Ooredoo Call Centre on 111 for support. Customers can visit ooredoo.qa/eshop for more information.
