Qatar participated in the two-day Eighth Atlantic Council Istanbul Summit, with a delegation chaired by HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada. The minister discussed the challenges and outlook for the energy sector during the summit’s special briefing session. On the sidelines of the event, Dr al-Sada met with Mary Bruce Warlick, who is the US’ Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Energy Resources at the Department of State. He also met with CEO of Atlantic Council Frederick Kempe and a number of ranking officials at the council. The Atlantic Council has been conducting studies and research programmes ever since its founding that focuses on political, economic, and security issues in the Americas, Europe, and Asia among other regions around the world.
