Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and the Texas A&M University (Tamu) have signed an agreement to establish a dual Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree programme.
Graduates will receive a PhD in chemical engineering from Tamu and the other from HBKU in either Sustainable Energy or Sustainable Environment.
The agreement was signed by HBKU provost Dr Khaled B Letaief and Dr Karan Watson, provost and executive vice-president of Tamu, College Station, Texas, US.
The dual degree programme will begin upon receipt of acceptance and agreement from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, and approval of the Texas Higher Education Co-ordinating Board
