Jaidah Automotive, Chevrolet’s exclusive dealer in Qatar, yesterday handed over a Chevrolet Silverado 2017 to the General Directorate of Traffic to assist the traffic authorities in road patrol, rescue and safety.
The ceremony at the General Directorate of Traffic headquarters was attended by Director General Brigadier Mohamed Saad al-Kharji, Jaidah Group’s executive director Mohamed Jaidah and Jaidah Automotive’s director of operations Khalid Samir as well as other officials.
Jaidah thanked the General Directorate of Traffic for their role to support road rescue, essential to creating safer roads in the country, and expressed excitement to contribute to their efforts. “We hope that the new Chevrolet Silverado with its power and capabilities, will assist the Department with rescue efforts and implementing safety on the road to reduce the rate of accidents,” he added.
Jaidah Automotive participated this year at the 33rd GCC Traffic Week, held under the theme ‘Your Life is Trust’ at Darb Al Saai. On display were the Chevrolet Camaro and Trailblazer 2017. The Traffic Department held an appreciation event at the end of Traffic Week, where Jaidah Automotive was presented a certificate of appreciation which was received by Khalid Samir.
