The Qatar Council of Healthcare Practitioners Accreditation (QCHP-AD) held its first round–up at the main auditorium of the Ministry of Public Health recently. The activity was organised by QCHP-AD team to mark the first anniversary of the National CME/CPD Accreditation System.
The event targeted all healthcare professionals in Qatar and over 470 practitioners and representatives from various healthcare facilities
participated in the event.
The three-day activity started on March 20 with Dr Samar Mohamed A Aboulsoud, acting CEO of QCHP, welcoming the audience and formally opening the programme.
She highlighted the importance of CPD/CME system, as well as the international recognitions from Accreditation system from American Medical Association, the American Academy for Family Physicians, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education received by QCHP-AD.
Dr Essam El Sayed, of CME/CPD, discussed the CME/CPD system and the framework in detail. He also tackled how to record activities in the CPD e-portfolio, CPD requirements, and CPD appeal processes. The speaker also shared useful resources and reading materials that are available in the QCHP-AD website and e-portfolio that are beneficial for the health care practitioners.
