Qatar’s Hamad Jaber al-Behaih celebrates on the podium after winning the gold medal in the SK Speed Skating 222M race during the 11th Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria yesterday. This was second gold for Qatar after Abdulla al-Mannai (left in second picture)  had come first in the SN Snowshoeing 200M race on Tuesday. Qatar also added a bronze medal with Saoud al-Sulaiti (third from left in second picture) finishing third in the SN Snowshoeing 200M race. More than 3,000 athletes from 110 countries, including 15 Arab countries, are participating in the Games. Qatar is participating in the Special Olympics World Winter Games for the fourth time in a row, having also sent athletes for previous editions in Japan, the United States and South Korea.
