Ahlibank and Visa International have announced the launch of its first Visa Platinum credit card in Qatar powered with Visa payWave technology.
With the Visa payWave technology feature, cardholders can simply shop, wave, and go – convenient, fast, and secure without needing any PIN (Personal Identification Number) or signature for purchases of QR100 or less.
However, purchases above QR100 can be paid using the Visa payWave with inserting the PIN in the terminal.
Ahlibank Visa payWave Platinum credit card also contains security features such as Visa’s Zero Liability Policy that protects cardholders against any fraudulent or unauthorised purchases, and the availability of receiving SMS alerts for transactions.
Currently, there are many merchant outlets that accept the Visa payWave feature in Qatar and overseas “and the list is growing rapidly,” Ahlibank said in a statement.
In response to customer feedback, Ahlibank has added more privileges and features to Ahlibank Visa payWave Platinum credit card to meet cardholders’ changing lifestyle needs. Now, Visa platinum Credit cardholders will not only enjoy more entertainment, shopping and dining privileges, but will also have six complimentary airport lounges visits every year to over 25 airport lounges worldwide.
