The Department of Meteorology warned on Sunday of strong winds from midday and thundery rain inshore, and strong winds, high seas and thundery rain offshore.
Weather forecast for Qatar valid until 6pm Sunday indicates that inshore will be hazy with blowing dust at times and partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain which could be thundery at places at times.
In offshore areas it will be hazy and partly cloudy with scattered rain which could be thundery at times.
Wind inshore will be northeasterly to southeasterly 10 to 18 knots, reaching 28 knots at places from midday, while offshore it will be southeasterly to easterly 20 to 30 knots, reaching to 35 knots at places with thundery rain.
Visibility will be poor at places at times. The sea state inshore will be between two to four feet, reaching five feet with thundery rain, while offshore it will be seven to 12 feet, rising up to 15 feet at places with thundery rain.
