OxFitness Lab has opened its doors to Qatar’s fitness fans at The Gate Mall.
The country’s “newest, five-star training facility” commenced operations with a grand opening, which took place in the presence of VIP guests, invitees, members who were welcomed by owners, management and staff.
The launch of the facility unveiled a “sophisticated” array of fitness technologies, training equipment, diagnostic services, analytics, nutrition management, group plus individual fitness programmes and tailor-made training regimes, according to a press statement.
Those attending the launch enjoyed a tour of the facility equipped with LifeFitness cardio and strength equipment, multi-functional Queenax bridges – “the largest in the Middle East” – and a fully immersive RealRyder studio, Electromyo Stimulation, Pilates Reformer machines, sauna, steam rooms and hot and cold dipping pools.
The fitness lab is the brainchild of Qatar’s champion sportsman Mohamed Abu Issa, who personally created its concept and influenced the design of OxFitness Lab’s spaces.
“We set out to make the pursuit of fitness fun; to make it an experience that is inspiring and challenging in equal measure. And we certainly wanted to use the best technologies in the world for that. So that is how we created this unique environment,” Abu Issa said.
The team of professionals on board to serve patrons includes fitness trainers who specialise in a wide range of areas, from mixed martial arts, CrossFit, pilates and yoga to physiotherapists and nutritionists.
OxFitness Lab offers a “specialised health induction pathway” to each member, including consultations, diagnostic analysis, postural analysis, functional movement screening and strength and endurance testing.
