A spokesman for Lulu Hypermarket Group has cautioned the public about a "fake" news that has gone viral on the social media, promising gift vouchers to participants of an online survey.
“A website link promising gift vouchers from Lulu Hypermarkets Qatar has been spreading on the social media from yesterday.
"The link promises QR500 worth Lulu gift vouchers for filling up a short survey of three questions and asks the public to share the link to 10 of their friends to receive the voucher.
"This has gone viral among the residents of Qatar. Many did the survey thinking that they will receive the voucher from LuLu Hypermarkets,” he said.
The official stated that the link was a spam and there was no such offer from Lulu Hypermarkets.
Lulu Group has posted a statement on their official website indicating that the promise of a gift voucher is a spam and in no way associated with Lulu Hypermarket Group.
