Qatar Islamic Bank recognises football team members for winning Aspire Banks Tournament 2016

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading Islamic Bank recognised its football team for winning the Aspire Banks Tournament Cup 2016, organised by Aspire Zone Foundation in partnership with Qatar Central Bank (QCB).
This is the second year that QIB participates in the tournament, where the team gave a stellar performance against 11 competitive teams of banks operating in the country. The winning team received warm congratulations from all QIB’s employees and senior management.
QIB fosters a culture of dedication and commitment and thus, the Bank prides itself on having employees who aim for excellence in everything they do. The management and staff were very pleased with the achievement and wished the team many more successes.
QIB encourages its employees to engage in social activities with the community and industry peers. It was important to participate in the Aspire Banks Tournament as it is an initiative that promotes healthy living and socialising between colleagues from the entire banking sector under the sponsorship and co-ordination of Qatar’s Central Bank.
The tournament which promoted a healthy lifestyle and engaged community members in sports is in line with QIB’s own commitment to offer its employees’ opportunity to engage with members of Qatar’s banking community and be active. The event is aligned with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and the commitment to investing in sports in order to create a healthy and strong society.
