Strong winds are expected in parts of the country on Monday along with a drop in temperature, the Qatar Met department has said.

The weather report has also forecast strong winds and high seas in offshore areas.
Northwesterly winds are expected to blow at 10-20 knots Monday, going up to 25 knots in some places at times. The wind speed in offshore areas will be 15-25 knots (northwesterly), with the sea level rising to 8ft at times.
The detailed report also says cloudy conditions are likely in inshore areas and there is a chance of light rain in some places in the early hours of the day. This is to be followed by mild daytime conditions along with slight to blowing dust.
In offshore areas, hazy and cloudy conditions have been forecast and there is a chance of scattered rain at first.
As had been forecast earlier, different parts of the country received light, scattered rain on Sunday, including Doha.
The Met department had said recently that there was a possibility of light rain in Qatar until Monday, followed by a spell of strong winds until Wednesday that would bring down the temperature across the country. It had also issued a warning for strong winds and high seas in offshore areas.
Meanwhile, after being relatively high over the past two-three days, the mercury level is now likely to drop across the country in view of the windy conditions.
Monday, a minimum temperature of 11C is expected in Abu Samra, 12C in Mesaieed and Wakrah, 14C in Al Khor and Dukhan, 15C in Doha and 16C in Ruwais. The maximum, on the other hand, will be 21C in Doha, Mesaieed and Wakrah.
On Sunday, a minimum temperature of 16C was recorded in Abu Samra, Al Khor, Al Sheehaniya and other places, while in Doha (airport area) it was 19C.
