Qatar Olympic Committee president HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani honoured a number of scholarship graduates, who received high degrees after completing their high education study at different universities inside and outside Qatar under the auspices of the QOC.
The honouring ceremony was held on the sidelines of the QOC’s General Assembly meeting.
The honourees are Johara Saleh Ahmed al-Gamae, who graduated from Qatar University (finance) and is now working as a third financial affairs researcher at QOC’s financial affairs department, Nada Mohammed Wafa Arqagi, who graduated from Carnegie Mellon University Qatar (business administration) and works as a third sport co-ordinator at the Sport affairs department, Nasser Mohammed Hassan al-Sae, who graduated from University of Reading (business administration) and now works as a third administrative affairs researcher at the QOC human resources department, and Amina Hassan Ishaq al-Ishaq, who graduated from Qatar University (accountancy).
Hassan Hassam al-Hababi, director of QOC’s Human Resources Department said, “The QOC Scholarship Programme is one our important programmes as it aims at developing the local human resources in light of Qatar National Vision 2030.
“The QOC is keen on providing support to the Scholarship programme as it aims at attracting graduates of local high schools and the students enrolled in local and international universities. The QOC is proud of its scholarship programme graduates who have joined QOC.”
In light of Qatar National Vision 2030, the QOC launched the Scholarship Programme in August 2008 to develop local human resources. The QOC is also keen on investing in the energies of young people as a human capital by providing them with the best educational and employment options.
