The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) has hailed the contributions of Doha Bank CEO Dr R Seetharaman to people from different walks of life, including members of the country’s Indian community.
While recalling the support extended to the ICBF activities over the years by the top banker who received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2016, the forum said Dr Seetharaman richly deserved the honour.
The ICBF formally honoured Dr Seetharaman soon after the latter received the honour at the annual Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) in Bengaluru on January 9. A 150-member strong Indian delegation from Qatar attended the three-day PBD celebrations held between January 7 and 9.
Besides Indian ambassador P Kumaran, ICBF vice president P N Baburajan, general secretary Mahesh Gowda, management committee members Nivedita, Mala Krishnan and immediate past president Arvind Patil were among others who attended the felicitation.
