QVC defeated CDC by eight wickets in the inaugural match of the 28th CDC Cricket Tournament 2017 at West Bay Cricket Complex.
Batting first CDC batsmen were all out for 124 runs in their 20 overs. Prakash scored 21 and Ashraf scored 26 runs. Fowzan also chipped in with 15 runs.
For QVC, Kazi claimed three wickets for 14 runs and Sanjay claimed three wickets for nine runs. Jamil, Sultan and Zahir also clinched one wicket each.
In reply, QVC’s Rifas and Sultan scored 22 and 15 runs.
Liyaqat scored 12 and Zahir and Bangeera contributed 20 and 17 runs, respectively. Fowzan claimed two wickets for five runs and Fazlan claimed one. Sanjay of QVC was declared man of the match.  
In the other matches, LAMA XII defeated Wellon Cricket Club by six wickets, while QALCO defeated Al Sanabil by 125 runs.
The tournament was inaugurated by Business Development Manager of CDC Sanjiv Jain.

Wellon 109 runs all out in 18.5 overs (Raja 25, Sanjaya 21. Inshad two for three, Arshad two for five) lost to LAMA XII 112 runs for five wickets in 15.5 overs (Milhan 50 runs.): Man of the match: Milhan.
