Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed al-Hammadi has paid a visit to the Islamic cultural centre building project in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, accompanied by Grand Mufti Nedzad Grabus, President of the Islamic Authority in Ljubljana.
Dr al-Hammadi was briefed on the various stages of the project which is expected to be opened soon.
He commended the efforts made in order to establish this centre.
For his part, the Grand Mufti praised the role of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani in the establishment of the centre, which he described as the first major Islamic project in region.
The visit was attended by Qatar’s non-resident ambassador to Slovenia Ali Khalfan al-Mansouri.
