The Independent Aftermarket (IAM) Wholesale Department of Jaidah Automotive, the exclusive dealer of Chevrolet cars in Qatar, has held an official launch event for Fulda tyres in Doha.
Jaidah Automotive, the sole distributor for Fulda tyres, introduced the brand to customers at the gathering.
The launch of German “high technology brand” Fulda, which is part of Goodyear, comes as part of Jaidah Automotive’s plans to “offer comprehensive aftersales services to customers in Doha”, according to a statement.
Representatives from both companies attended the launch and shared technical specifications with customers during the event, as well as information on the performance and efficiency of Fulda tyres and the history of the brand.
Among those present were KT Rao, manager of Automotive Wholesale; Zeki Bagran, general manager of Jaidah Automotive Independent Aftermarket; Stefano Sanchini, director (sales) at Goodyear Middle East and Africa; Anwar Jabasini, consumer sales manager, Middle East; and Khalid Qureshi, marketing manager, Goodyear Middle East and Africa; as well as some 100 valued customers.
“Our partnership with Fulda allows us to offer our customers tyres of high quality with great value, which will cover all vehicle segments in the Qatari market,” Rao said.
“Jaidah Automotive, part of Jaidah Group, is a well-established group that operates in a variety of industries, and we are confident that our co-operation will be successful in further establishing the Fulda brand in the country and leveraging the product line-up to serve the diverse market demands,” Sanchini said.  
The Fulda brand was born is Germany and Goodyear took over the company in 1962, he added. It is known for its “German high technology with unique attributes of road safety and low fuel consumption”.
Fulda tyres are produced in Germany, Poland, Thailand, Slovenia, Turkey and France with GSO certifications for most of the tyres imported into Qatar. “Fulda EcoControl HP tyres are the perfect balance of performance, fuel efficiency and
mileage,” the statement noted.
“Fulda produces 8mn tyres per year and has (ISO) 14001 certification,” Bagran added.
