Ooredoo has hosted a group of MBA students from DePaul University who are visiting Qatar as part of a special programme initiated by the Sheikh Faisal Centre for Entrepreneurship in the Middle East.
This is the second year that Ooredoo has dedicated time for students undertaking the programme and the company welcomed the group into its
headquarters at HQ1.
The visit was designed to educate the students about the telecom industry and learn more about real-world experiences in the sector. While at HQ1, the students were given a tour of Ooredoo’s Advanced Smart Innovative Solutions (Oasis) Lab, which is where the company tests and launches some of its smart services and cutting-edge network
technology for Qatar.
Senior executives from Ooredoo also answered questions from the students who were keen to learn more about the company’s vision and goals
for 2017.
Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director, community and public relations, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “We believe that knowledge sharing is one of the greatest gifts that the modern world can offer, and we are delighted to have been a part of these
talented students time in Qatar.
“Ooredoo relies on the passion, innovation, and experience of its employees to launch the latest services for our country, and we hope this glimpse into our advanced operations has inspired the students to do something amazing when they graduate.”
