Alfardan Group recently hosted the fourth CSR Conference in Qatar at Al Gassar Ballroom, The St Regis Doha.
In line with its commitment towards initiatives that help cultivate a sustainable future for the country, Alfardan Group served as a strategic partner for the conference, which also featured the launch of the 2016 edition of the CSR White Book, an annual publication that highlights leading corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. Alfardan Group has consistently supported the project and participated as a gold sponsor of the 2015 edition, according to a statement.
The event was organised by Dar Al Sharq and held under the patronage of HE the Governor of Qatar Central Bank Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud al-Thani. It focused on strategy development and business performance support in the framework of CSR.
Omar Alfardan, president and CEO of Alfardan Group, said: “Alfardan Group has endorsed projects and initiatives in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, and with Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to promote the highest standards of living among the citizens and residents of the country.

We have cultivated strong relations with a number of charitable and non-profit organisations and pledge our support to socially-relevant programmes. CSR is an important part of our corporate values and we aim to bolster initiatives that help enhance the
well-being of the community.”
The event and the book showcased the CSR strategies of leading companies within the region and encouraged a dialogue on challenges and opportunities facing CSR professionals.
“We are proud to serve as a strategic hospitality partner for the conference,” said Tareq Derbas, general manager of The St Regis Doha.
