Qatar Islamic Insurance Company (QIIC) has received the ‘Best Arab Managing Team in the Insurance Sector’ award during the ‘Best Arabs Awards’ ceremony, which was supported by Qatar Islamic International Bank (QIIB) as ‘strategic and supportive sponsor.’
During the ceremony, QIIC CEO Ali Ibrahim al-AbdulGhani received the award, which shows the competitiveness of Qatari companies “in achieving better results and success.”
Al-AbdulGhani said, “We are proud to receive the ‘Best Arab Managing Team in the Insurance Sector’ award, which is a tribute to the whole Qatari insurance sector and to the national economy. We owe to the country and its thriving economy whatever we have achieved and reached.”
He added, “The award unfolds the efficiency of the human resources we are working on to educate, train, and qualify according to the best accredited international standards in the field of insurance. We get the inspiration from the Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on the importance of human development.”
QIIB CEO Abdulbasit Ahmed al-Shaibei said the bank gives “great attention” to activities related to social responsibility programmes and supports activities that encourage creativity, innovation, and distinction in Qatar or other states where the bank has strategic partnerships and activities.
Al-Shaibei said, “The board of directors of QIIB was eager to support the ‘Best Arabs Awards’ since it truly believes in relevant usefulness, and it truly wants to make it a success because the responsibility of profit institutions like banks, in terms of encouraging and promoting community initiatives, is a vital issue, and this responsibility is actually complemented by the developmental objectives that mainly aim at developing the communities in different fields.”
He added, “We are interested in the Moroccan banking market. We applied for establishing a bank in the country in cooperation with a local strategic partner. Accordingly, we are also interested in the activities that offer added value to the creativity and distinction in this country.”
