HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will honour the winners of the Anti-Corruption Award at its first round in the Austrian capital Vienna tomorrow, in a ceremony which will be held under United Nations auspices, and in the presence of its Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and heads of United Nations organisations at Hofburg Palace. The award comes in recognition of the Emir of the efforts of those in charge of the fight against corruption at the international level, as well as the support of Qatar and the UN mission in the fight against corruption and the fight against organised crime. The award was announced for the first time on October 31, 2015, and is offered in collaboration with the UN, and include four categories: scientific research, innovation, and creativity of young people, and the Lifetime Achievement.
