HE the Justice Minister Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi has revealed that there is a plan for full Qatarisation of legal positions in the state.
Speaking at a seminar organised by the Justice Ministry yesterday under the title “The history of the judiciary in Qatar,” the Minister said the Qatarisation plan will be implemented in co-ordination with various law enforcement agencies, focusing on qualified and efficient national cadres who can make contribution to the legal system in the state, without giving up the Arab and international expertise and their contribution to the renaissance taking place in the country in all fields and the legal field in particular.
The judicial system in Qatar is a source of admiration and an example that can be followed, the Minister said. This is what makes several parties keen to take advantage of this national expertise in the legal field, he added.
Judge Ibrahim Saleh al-Nisef, the president of the appeals court, also delivered a speech.
On the sidelines of the seminar, a graduation ceremony was held for the participants of the fifth training course for assistant prosecutors, the 14th training course for new legal officers and seventh training course for lawyers under training, who have completed their mandatory training courses at the legal and judicial study centre at the Ministry of Justice.
