Qatar and India signed a raft of agreements and memoranda of understanding following a session of official talks chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister's residence Hyderabad House here on Saturday.

The talks were attended by the members of the official delegation accompanying the prime minister and several Indian ministers.
Talks during the session dealt with bilateral relations and means of enhancing them to better serve interest of the two countries, in addition to various areas of co-operation.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region along with a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
Following the talks, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and the Indian prime minister witnessed the signing of the following agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries:
1. An agreement between the governments of Qatar and India on mutual exemption of entry visas for holders of diplomatic, special and official passports.
2. A protocol for technical co-operation in cyberspace and fight against cybercrime between the Qatari Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Home Affairs of India
3. A Letter of Intent between Qatar and India.
4. An MoU between Qatar's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
5. An MoU between Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani) and Indian Ports Global (IPG).
Meanwhile, Indian President Pranab Mukherjee met HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi.
The Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Indian president, and his wishes for more progress and prosperity to the Indian people .
President Mukherjee reciprocated the Emir's greetings and wishes.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations, and ways of developing them in various fields.
The two sides also exchanged views on topics of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by the members of the official delegation accompanying HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and a number of Indian ministers.
Earlier, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior attended a luncheon banquet hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The banquet was also attended on the Indian side by a number of ministers.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of interior held separate meeting with India's Interior Minister Rajnath Singh and the country's National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, at his residence.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and means to develop them, particularly in the field of security.
The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest.
Later the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior left New Delhi Saturday evening after a two-day official visit to India.
The Prime Minister was seen off at Palam airport by India's Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Haribhai Chaudhary, Qatar's ambassador to India Mohamed bin Khater al-Khater and staff of the Qatari embassy in New Delhi.
