HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan bin Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi has underlined the importance of the draft laws and decisions of the Arab Justice Ministers Council meeting at the end of its 32nd session held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.
In a press statement, HE the Minister of Justice said that these results will contribute to strengthening legislative and judicial Arab system, and achieve the desired integration between the bodies in charge of enforcing these laws so as to enhance Arab co-operation amid the tidal wave of violence and extremism sweeping the Arab world.
HE Dr Hassan bin Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi stressed the Justice Ministry’s keenness to support and activate the Arab judicial co-operation, including the initiative mechanisms and proposals to promote and support this co-operation in various aspects and the justice and legislative spheres, in light of the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
HE the Minister noted that the meeting’s recommendations are in line with the Qatari vision that condemns all terrorist attacks, and all forms and manifestations of terrorism whatever their source, and its call for promoting measures to prevent terrorism by addressing its causes and uprooting them, including the development of programmes designed to promote a culture of tolerance pluralism and the fight against extremism.
The State of Qatar has adopted several important strategies and objectives to promote and protect human rights and dialogue among religions.
Qatar has hosted and organised numerous conferences and meetings, which called for confronting terrorism, the Minister added.
It is to be noted that the Arab Justice Ministers Council at the conclusion of 32nd session had adopted a number of draft laws submitted by the State of Qatar to contribute to strengthening and activate the Arab joint legal and judicial co-operation.
