The legal department of the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) has been recognised as “Legal Department of the Year” in its peer category at the Qatar Business Law Awards.
It was received by Nasser al-Taweel, QFCA’s chief legal officer, at the inaugural event in Doha, organised by LexisNexis, the world-leading global provider of legal information, in partnership with the Association of Corporate Counsel Middle East chapter, Qatar University and Qatar Foundation.
The awards recognise exceptional achievement by private practice solicitors, in-house lawyers working in local and international entities and law firms.
“This recognition is further indication of our team’s continuous efforts in creating an attractive and appealing environment for local and foreign firms. Furthermore, it proves how our investment in human capital, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, is of utmost importance for the success and growth of our entity,” QFC chief executive Yousuf Mohamed al-Jaida said.
