HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met the Minister of State and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of Algeria Ramtane Lamamra in Doha yesterday. They discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance them. They also discussed the scope for bilateral co-operation, particularly in the field of energy and industry. Additionally, they also discussed regional and international developments of issues of joint interest, among them
latest developments in Libya. The two sides agreed on the need to reach a peaceful and
political resolution to the crisis in Libya. Later, speaking at a press conference held yesterday, Lamamra praised the ties between Qatar and his country, affirming that it is a solid relationship based on mutual appreciation. The Algerian minister said that his current visit to Qatar comes
within the framework of the joint commission between the two countries, the next session of which will be held next year in Algeria. He pointed out that Algeria co-ordinates with Qatar on a number of important issues, and it is keen to seize every opportunity for such meetings.
