Qatar will continue experiencing a dip in temperature today along with strong winds, dusty conditions and poor visibility, according to the weather report.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to see strong winds and high seas today, the Met department has said.
The maximum temperature has already dropped to under 30C in several areas while the minimum is expected to hover around the 16-18C levels at a number of places today.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas says moderate temperature is expected during the day along with slight to blowing dust and some scattered clouds. It will be relatively cold by night.
A minimum temperature of 16C is expected in Abu Samra, 17C in Al Khor and 18C in Mesaieed and Wakrah today. The forecast for Doha is 23C.
Visibility may drop to 3km or less in some places.
Dusty conditions are also expected in offshore areas at times along with some clouds. The sea level may rise to 10ft in some places.
The wind speed may go up to 28 knots in offshore areas and 24 knots in inshore areas at times.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperature dropped from early-30C to late- 20C levels across the country yesterday. For instance, it fell from 32C on Monday to 29C yesterday in Al Sheehaniya, from 31C to 28C in the Hamad International Airport area, and from 30C to 27C in Abu Samra and Dukhan.
The maximum temperature in the Doha airport area was 31C yesterday.
A minimum of 21C was recorded in Al Khor, Al Sheehaniya and other places yesterday, while in Doha it was 26C.
However, the Met department said it felt like 22.3C due to the wind factor.
Strong winds and dusty conditions were reported from a number of areas yesterday, with visibility dropping to under 1km in places such as the Qatar University area, Al Sheehaniya and Al Ruwais, according to a tweet by the Met department.
