The Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) will host the Qatar International Breast Cancer Conference under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani from tomorrow.
The two-day conference under the theme ‘Present Standards and New Perspectives,’ will be held at Sheraton Doha.
The event aims to provide healthcare practitioners from all specialities with practical information to enhance the quality of care for breast cancer.
The talks at the conference will be delivered by experts from Qatar, other GCC countries, Austria, Canada, the US, and Egypt.
Along with the conference, there will be a specialised healthcare exhibition which is an important opportunity for the healthcare industry companies to keep the attendees abreast of the latest innovations in the field of breast cancer care at international level.
The conference is a Category 1 ? Accredited Group Learning Activity as defined by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners - Accreditation Department and is approved for a maximum of credit 7.25 hours.
The conference aims to update the participants’ knowledge about approaches of prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer.
It also plans to provide practical information to enhance the quality of care for breast cancer, familiarise the participants with the current standards of breast cancer care in Qatar as well as highlight the importance of psycho-oncologic support for breast cancer patients and emphasise the importance of life after treatment for breast cancer survivors.
