The victim, identified as Sajjid Ali, was an engineer with a private firm. Ali leaves behind his wife and one-year-old son, both in Doha. His father Mohamed Ali , a long-time Doha resident, is working in a private automotive firm. The family hails from Kannur district in northern Kerala.
This was the second death involving a bike rider in a fortnight. A local youth was killed in a motorbike accident near Al Thumama Signal earlier this month.
