Qatar participated in the 43rd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC), which is being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Qatar’s delegation was headed by HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi.
The ministerial meeting discussed the latest developments in Islamic countries, international issues of common concern, the fight against terrorism, disarmament and countering Islamophobia along with other topics.
Minister al-Muraikhi yesterday met Maldives Foreign Minister Mohamed Asim on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the OIC council, which is being held in Tashkent in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of boosting and developing them in addition to a set of issues of mutual interest.
