Injaz Qatar has organised an appreciation event to recognise and honour school principals, college deans and teacher volunteers who were part of the group’s activities during academic year 2015-2016.
The event, sponsored by ExxonMobil Qatar, was held in the presence of Injaz Al Arab board member Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani and Fouzia al-Khater, head of the Education Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Also in attendance were representatives from the schools that worked with Injaz Qatar since its inception in 2007, potential schools, and more than 200 guests, including focal points from schools, universities, and youth centres, among others.
Injaz Qatar CEO Emad al-Khaja said: “This year, we have decided to hold an appreciation event dedicated solely for the schools, universities, and educational institutes that we worked with throughout the past academic year.
“By doing so, we are ensuring that the assets of our programmes are being well-recognised and honoured for their hard work in delivering Injaz Qatar’s pillars to more than 4,200 students this year. We would like to thank everyone for their amazing work and for making the past academic year an incredible success.”
He added: “I express my sincere gratitude to the educators who are not only teaching the youth of Qatar but are also contributing to the preparation of a passionate, young generation of students who will succeed in the global economy. Because of these schools and educational institutes, our Qatari youth are well aware of their environment and their commitment towards their community – something which makes Injaz Qatar a proud organisation.”
