The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen co-operation in humanitarian projects serving Syrian and Palestinian refugees as well as the host communities.
The new deal is a step towards better joint planning and co-operation between the two parties. The MoU was signed by deputy head of ICRC delegation in Beirut Marco Succi and head of QRCS mission in Lebanon Omar Katerji. Its purpose is to co-ordinate efforts in medical care, relief, livelihood support, water and sanitation, and shelter, to meet the humanitarian needs of both refugees and local community.
QRCS Executive Director Fahad bin Mohamed al said:  “QRCS has a partnership with ICRC in many effective projects to help our Syrian brothers living in Lebanon."
