The State of Qatar participated in the ministerial meeting of the 15th International Energy Forum (IEF15) which was held in Algiers yesterday. Qatar’s delegation was headed by HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, who is  the current chair of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec). Al-Sada also chaired the forum’s second session held under the title “Natural Gas: Challenges for the Industry”. On the sidelines of the forum, al-Sada met with Algeria’s Minister of Energy Noureddine Boutarfa, Iraq’s Minister of Oil Jabbar Ali Luiebi, Mauritania’s Minister of Petroleum, Energy and Mines Mohamed Ould Abdulfattah, Undersecretary of State in Poland’s ministry of energy Michal Kurtyka and International Energy Forum (IEF) secretary-general Dr Sun Xiansheng. The meetings dealt with Qatar’s relations with each of those countries, especially in the field of energy, in addition to the situation of world oil markets. Later yesterday, Algeria’s Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal met with al-Sada. They discussed relations between the two countries and reviewed a number of topics of common interest, particularly the developments of the global oil market.
