A nearly 16-month traffic diversion will be in place from Friday on the westbound lanes of Dukhan Highway near the old Bani Hajer roundabout. The diversion will remain until towards the end of 2017.

During the period, motorists travelling from Doha to Dukhan will be diverted to a slightly modified road for a short distance of 550m (as shown in the map).

Ashghal said road users will still have access to three lanes on account of the alternative arrangement being made.

Ashghal is implementing the diversion to facilitate the construction of an underpass and a utility network on the new upgraded Bani Hajer interchange, which is part of its Dukhan Highway East project.
